##  Class files

 Download Your Overleaf Project Files Click on ‘Submit to Scientific Reports’ in the top bar. Click on the two links to download the files, then click on ‘Submit Now’. Log in to Scientific Reports Log in to Scientific Report’s manuscript tracking system; create a new account if you need to. Create Submission Click on the ‘Submit Manuscript’ link. Choose Manuscript Type Choose the appropriate manuscript type, e.g. ‘Original Research’. Click ‘Continue’. Upload Files Click on the ‘Browse’ button to choose the files to upload. Make sure you include the .bbl file, as well as all required image files. Also if you’re not using BibTeX, or have already copied the contents of the .bbl file into your .tex file itself, you don’t need to upload the .bbl. Then click on ‘Upload files’. Set File Types There’s nothing to be done for screen 1b) ‘Replace & Replace File’ now, so we can go to 1c) ‘File Type’. Set the .tex file to be ‘Article file’, the .bbl file to be ‘LaTeX supplementary file’, the figure images to be ‘Figure’ (if you use these). Click ‘Save and Continue’ when you’re done. Check File Order In screen 1d), add the compulsory fields (figure numbers for the images), then ‘Save and Continue’ to 1e) ‘File Order’. Verify things look alright; tick the check box, and click ‘Save and Continue’. Check Output PDFs You can go and fill in all the ‘2. Manuscript Information’ section now, but I’ll skip ahead to ‘3. Validate’. You may need to give the servers some time for the ‘Validate PDF’ links to show up. Once you see those links, click on them to view the generated PDFs; verify that they are indeed what you expect. Coming back to this screen, you’ll see that you can now click on the ‘Approve’ check box(es). Tick them and click ‘Save and Continue’! Validate Manuscript Now you can proceed to 3b) ‘Validate Manuscript’ or go back to 2. Manuscript Information section to complete the author/manuscript information, and then on to 4. ‘Submit’ to complete the submission process.
