In this project the behavior of the Faraday cage as an insulator against an induced load, either by an effect of nature as lightning or lightning or power surges be considered. As we know the Faraday cage is a conductor of electric current and therefore theoretically there will be inside a magnetic field or electromagnetic wave in the same way there will be no magnetic field.

Modifying Linux Kernel
In this document we focus on modifying the Linux Kernel through memory and scheduler parameters. The main objective is to study the performance of a computer during the execution of AIO-Stress Benchmark. It was necessary to run the test several times since three of the parameter mentioned in this project were modified 5 times. After completing the test, the results were displayed on graphs, showing that all the variables have a noticeable influence on the performance of the computer.

Las observaciones han mostrado que el numero de neutrinos electrónicos νe que llegan a la tierra desde el sol es aproximadamente la mitad del número esperado de nuestro conocimiento de las reacciones nucleares que ocurren al interior del sol. Estas observaciones se explican como el resultado de que algunos neutrinos electrónicos νe se convierten en neutrinos muónicos νμ y neutrinos tauónicos ντ durante su recorrido entre su creación al interior del sol y su observación en la tierra. Este cambio de un sabor a otro se conoce como oscilaciónes del neutrino. Se introduce un término de masa para el neutrino que es invariante de Lorentz en la densidad lagrangiana del modelo estándar (SM), y se describe el estado del neutrino |να⟩(α = e, μ, τ) como una combinación lineal de autoestados de masa |νi⟩ (i=1,2,3), lo cual conduce a las oscilaciones del neutrino.

Physics being an experimental science, we sought to learn how to prepare a lab and perform as a team accounting for errors and uncertainties and to reduce them. We gathered values for volume using Micrometer, gathered information on acceleration, velocity, and created a histogram using a PASCO motion sensor. A jumping experiment was also performed with a human and the motion sensor. Our main goal was to test the effects of human error and eliminating mechanical error.

L’Internet of Things (IoT), ou l’Internet des Objets (IdO), est considéré comme étant un concept moderne, et à même de révolutionner l’avenir proche. L’intérêt est de créer un environnement composé d’appareils et de systèmes intelligents, pouvant communiquer entre eux par le biais de réseaux informatiques. Ces échanges de données vont ainsi permettre de meilleures prises de décision dans un contexte de plus en plus complexe. Cependant, au fur et à mesure que les échanges se multiplient, la question de sécurité se pose, qui doit prendre en compte la faible puissance de calculs des appareils. Ce document a pour objectif de se focaliser sur les protocoles qui régissent ces échanges, et quelles sont les problématiques de sécurité qui en découlent.

Studying Quantum Dots using Atomic Force Microscopy
Quantum Dots are semiconductor nanocrystals whose diameter is in the range of 2-10 nm, corre- sponding to 10 to 50 atoms in diameter and a total of 100 to 100,000 atoms within the quantum dot volume. Many types of quantum dot emit light of specific frequencies if electricity or light is applied to them, and these frequencies can be precisely tuned by changing the dots’ size, shape and material, giving rise to many applica- tions. Because of their high tunable properties, quantum dots are of wide interest. It finds its applications in nanotechnology, medical imaging, transistors, solar cells, LED’s, diode lasers, quantum computing, etc. With this project, we intend to further understand and study the properties of quantum dots by using atomic force microscopy.
