arXiv / bioRxiv Template
arXiv / bioRxiv Template
Template for writing scientific manuscripts. Features several examples of how to embed figures directly into the text. Use it to create compiled PDFs - e.g. for pre-peer review publication on the arXiv, bioRxiv, or to a repository such as figshare. To submit your manuscript to the arXiv, bioRxiv, figshare or one of many other destinations linked to from Overleaf, simply click the 'Journals & Services' button on the top bar of the Overleaf editor and choose the appropriate destination from the menu. You can also use the 'Download as zip - for submission' option in the Project menu to download a zip file containing all the required files for the submission (e.g. including the .bbl file if you've used a bibliography file for your references).

Universal Manuscript Template for OSA journals
Universal Manuscript Template for OSA journals
LaTeX manuscripts submitted to OSA journals as of 30 May 2018 may use these instructions and this new single-column universal template format. Note that the final publishing format of OSA journals is not changing at this time, and authors will still need to adhere to article-length restrictions based on the final publishing format (which for some journals is two columns). Once your article is complete, you may submit it directly to Prism (the OSA's article tracking system) via the 'Submit to OSA' option in the Overleaf editor. Authors of Optics Letters articles and Optica letters and memoranda should continue using the legacy template for an accurate length check. Please note that OSA is no longer using OCIS codes.

Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) - Large 2-Column Format Template
Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) - Large 2-Column Format Template
This is a sample file for ACM large trim, 2-column journals, specifically showing an example of a paper for ACM Transactions on Graphics, using acmart.cls v1.55 (2018/07/25). It is provided by the ACM as a template for submissions, and pre-loaded in Overleaf (formerly writeLaTeX) for ease of editing online. Please see the ACM Submission Guidelines page for more details on manuscript preparation. This large double column format is used for submissions to ACM Transactions on Graphics (TOG). Once your article is complete, you can use 'Submit to ACM' button at the top of the Overleaf editor bar to quickly download your paper files and go straight to the appropriate ACM submission site.
