    Please note that this blog post refers to Overleaf v1. The new Overleaf has an updated version comparison feature available via the 'History' tab.

    As it's due for launch this weekend, we thought we'd give you a sneak preview of the new version comparison feature we've been working on:

    There's a new 'compare' option in the versions menu in the editor:

    On the left hand side you see the current version, with any insertions or deletions highlighted, and on the right you see the version being compared, again with any insertions or deletions highlighted:

    It's one of a number of recent upgrades to the editor and compile server - we also now support index creation and eps figures (finally!). There's more to come soon too, so stay tuned :)
